ERP and CRM Cloud Technologies at Expressair Aviation Group

Project Background

Expressair Aviation Group is a privately owned Irish registered holding company, which for more than 25 years has provided and continues to provide high quality aircraft painting and refurbishment services to over 200 aircraft operators and airlines worldwide from dedicated aircraft painting hangars located in Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK. The company is based in Co. Dublin and employs 40 staff in Ireland and Holland.  Expressair has implemented a visualised private cloud environment and Sage solution to give the company a complete view of the business, deliver services reliably and securely from a common portal and which allows Expressair trade in multi currencies.

“With a significant growth in our business and with geographically dispersed sites in 3 countries, we needed an efficient and cost-effective technology solution to share critical information between our offices, manage application deployment and trade in multi currencies with the least effort and cost,” explains Tim MacDougald, Commercial Director at Expressair Aviation Group. “Most importantly the solution had to manage the financial and management information within the group.”

Solution

Expressair selected Enclave Technologies, a Sage Business Partner, to provide consultation, installation, implementation, training and on-going support services. Enclave implemented the Sage 200 Suite which is made up of business modules designed to work together to help businesses run smoothly. The Sage 200 Suite combines multiple modules including Sage 200 Financials and Commercials, together with Business Intelligence and Sage CRM which gives one complete system, and one view of all key customer and business information. Enclave built the infrastructure which comprises an Domian Controller. Application server and a Terminal server all running Windows 2008. The solution is hosted in Enclave’s virtual data centre. The solution visualises Expressair’s existing infrastructure and consolidates the Sage200 and CRM system, all files and email accounts, adobe and internet access. The company is now able to roll out the latest platforms for users such as Microsoft and Expressair’s own specific applications centrally.

Results

Expressair is finding the reporting element of the solution to be very efficient and helpful in running the business. The CRM and multi currency aspects of the solution are allowing the company to trade quickly and effectively. “We wanted the most reliable, reputable technology on which to build a future-proofed system for the company and we got that.” concludes Tim. “We now have the system that we were looking for at a relatively low cost of ownership that will support our future plans.”
